Purpose

“Christian Love in Action”.  To make a Christian difference by sharing the love of Christ through our

participation in short-term mission.

Task

Our task is what we do with our abilities; building a church or home, providing medical care, teaching

vacation bible school.  Our task is always secondary to our purpose.

"The Cuban people are not "the enemy".  The ones we met were incredibly warm and friendly ("mi casa es tu casa"), and active in the practice of their faith.  I think we helped further positive, lasting relationships between people from different nations and cultures.

"Our last evening. . .It was truly amazing to sit in our circle. . .and see individuals represented from the United States, Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and El Salvador all coming together as one, worshipping God.  Even though we did not all speak the same language, the hugs and the love shared was universal."

"The team members felt a closeness to each other and the people we served. There was a strong feeling, despite economic differences, that the people we helped were strong Christians and we could feel the power of God's work."

"As we distribute, I hand out the nets. Should be a Mozambican, but he’s translating . . . I receive sincere slow handshakes, and one lady kisses my hand during the shake.  I come close to losing my composure."
