Mama Yoli’s House is a project site located in Atucucho, a mountainside area on the north side of Quito, Ecuador. The area also has another name, “the Belt of Misery”, which is an indication of the conditions many people live in their efforts to try to make a life for themselves and their families. The purpose for the construction of Mama Yoli’s House is to provide a place of hope for the Ecuadorians who have come to Quito to find new life. The facility will provide a day care and school, a micro-economic program, community halls, a church, a parsonage, but most of all a place to help support and provide hope for the people. This project will be done in cooperation with SIFAT (Servants In Faith And Technology) who is the local organizing body for us in our mission.

Project Site in Atucucho
Location: Mama Yoli’s House is located in the area called Atucucho which overlooks the city of Quito to the north and within view of the airport. Quito is the capital city of the country of Ecuador and is very near the equator.
Work: Construction teams are needed to help build the church and parsonage at the site. There will be considerable need for the work of laborers and some construction and painting. There will also be opportunities for work to be done on the interior of the facility. Vacation Bible School is done in conjunction with all projects so plan for a fun time with the kids!
