SERVE2011, Missouri, Conference, Day of Service
On September 10-11, 2011, United Methodist Churches from across the state of Missouri entered the mission field as part of SERVE2011. Large or small, churches worked with their communities to find the needs and then find ways to help those in need. Groups picked up trash, painted, paid for peoples laundry, worked at animal shelters, helped at food banks, and many other projects. Each green dot on this map reflects a SERVE2011 project registration, and some of them represent multiple projects. This is what potential volunteers see when the visit www.serve2011.org and select "find an event". Submit your event at www.serve2011.org so that the people of your community can join with you in service on September 10th-11th.
United Methodist Communications has provided another useful resource to share with your communities what you are doing for SERVE2011. Invite others to join with you in service to your community by printing out door hangers and posters to personalize and distribute throughout your community. Click here or on the picture to view two styles of door hangers and a poster that you can download as PDF's in color or in black and white.
